Mr. George Smith, co-author of the book ‘Write Better Stories and Essays: A Toolkit for Young Writers’ was inducted into the Wall of Fame at the Ocean Township Intermediate School during their Author’s Day program. Mr. Smith has been a contributing author at Author’s Day for the past 5 years.
He conducted workshops that helped the young authors expand their story ideas into full length stories or to more creatively write about the emotions of characters in their stories. Most recently, he used the ‘Write Better Stories and Essays’ book to show the students tips and techniques that will improve the quality of their writing. The young authors really enjoyed his workshops.
Mr. Smith was one of the first authors to attend Author’s Day when it began five years ago. The staff and young authors were very excited about Mr. George receiving the award. He received a plaque, a certificate, and a picture that will be mounted on the Wall of Fame in the school library as a lasting tribute to his contributions to the Young Authors program.
Lumos Learning conveys heartfelt best wishes to Mr.George Smith!
