  • Performance Task:
    The Performance Task for English Language Arts is a written response to a
    writing prompt. The Students will read a text and respond to a prompt using
    evidence from the text. The extended responses will be human scored using a
    rubric. The rubric is comprised of three categories: Development of Ideas,
    Organization, and Language, Usage, and Conventions. The Performance Tasks
    are worth 12 points total.

    phenomena. The Performance task will include graphic display and series of
    written arguments that will measure the student’s proficiency level from the
    Mathematics, Grades 3-8 content standards.

    Grade 3 – 5 : No Calculators allowed
    Grades 6 and 7: Four-function calculators with square root and percentage functions
    Grade 8: Scientific calculators

    Also,

    • Students will need to bring a hand-held scientific or graphing calculator. Only a four function calculator will be provided online during testing.
    • Calculators with a Computer Algebra System (CAS) feature are not allowed.
    • Tablets, laptops (or PDAs), or phone-based calculators are not allowed during the Mississippi MAP assessments.
    • Students are not allowed to share calculators during the testing session.
    • Calculators with “QWERTY” keyboards are also not permitted.
