Domain: Grade 5 >> Number & Operations in Base Ten

Sample Question: Write the expanded form of this number: 46.324

  1. 40 + 6 + 0.3 + 0.2 + 0.4
  2. 40 + 6 + 0.3 + 0.02 + 0.004
  3. 40 + 6.3 + 2 + 4
  4. 40 + 6 + 0.003+ 0.02 + 0.4

Answer Explanation: When writing the expanded form of decimals, keep each digit in its place to the right of the decimal point by using place-holder zeros.
